Fairerpower offers Pay As You Go customers a fairer deal too. Fairerpower manages the tariffs and it’ll be the name on any communications you get, while OVO will carry out the metering and take payments. That’s why occasionally you may be contacted by OVO directly.

IGT (Independent Gas Transporter) customers for Fairerpower PAYG
So you have access to the fairest PAYG tariff as early as possible, we’ve worked with OVO to develop an offer for IGT customers. You’ll initially be signed up to the OVO PAYG tariff, and we plan to launch a fully branded Fairerpower IGT service in 2016. You’ll be able to switch, if you want to, once this is live.
The majority of UK homes are supplied by the National Grid. However, around 1 million homes use an IGT network. The quality of IGT-supplied gas is no different to normal gas, but it isn’t part of the National Grid so things work a little differently. IGT only refers to how your gas is transported to your home. So, for all intents and purposes, there’s no difference to having your gas transported by National Grid or an independent gas transporter.
You’ll need to refer to your Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) which you can find on your energy bill. If your MPRN begins with 74, 75, 76 or 77 you’re supplied by an IGT. If you’re unsure where to find it just call us on 0330 102 7510 or email email@example.com.
